Care Surgical approached us to help them create new product images for this carbon spine extension range. These are highly technical surgical tables that needed a new look to help keep them looking high quality and professional,
We created these renders with meticulous attention to lighting to ensure all the products materials looked their best. Supported by a sleek, minimalistic shadow that helps with realism but also does not distract from the product.
We edited the cushions to add crease marks and squished them where necessary to accommodate our 3d character model.
Creating a custom 3D character
When initially communicating with Care Surgical they expressed their desire to show a model on the product. Their current images although outdated, displayed their real life model and showcasing the correct position and posture on the machine was a key detail they wanted to present.
Initially we attempt to photoshop the original model onto our renders but due to the new version of the product having distinct variations it was difficult to line up the image of the model to the new table.
This is also limited our flexibility to show different angles of the product and animations.
To combat this problem we suggested that we create a custom 3d character which would be fully rigged to enable us to put the model in specific positions on the table. This allowed us to customize the posture to the millimetre which is vital for this product. This also allowed us to then create renders from multiple angles, table positions and to create animations.

Here you can see a screenshot of the 3d character model we made for care surgical. The character is wearing the medical suit patients are provided.
The model is fully rigged meaning we have control over all major bones and joints, this level of control is what allows us to place the model in very specific positions on the table.

We also created this 45 second informative and professional animation. This video displays how to assemble the accessories, extend the table and bend it into its prone position.
