Bellagio Marble Ideas
Case Study
Inspiring Customers through Visualisation
Bellagio Marble Ideas approached us to help elevate their catalogue images. They required our assistance in creating brand new inspiring in-situ renders for their marble worktops, that would help their customers visualise the designs in use and how that might correlate to their space.
A Modular Approach:
During this project we created a custom interior scene for the client based on a L shaped kitchen layout with an island, this provided sufficient surface space to showcase the marble worktops. We then created 4 variations of these scenes, altering the colours, cupboard / handle designs, wall / floor materials, appliances and props to give them each a unique feel.
We then set up x6 camera angles to be used throughout the catalogue of images to provide varying perspectives of the worktops. These additional perspectives helped increase customer confidence, allowing them visualise how different angles of light may interact with the same worktop design. We rendered 3 angles of each worktop design. This approach helped us render the images in a short timeline, once the angles, props and materials had been approved by the client.

Realistic Texturing:
The client sent us material sample images to use on the 3d models that we had created. Using UV layouts we generated
we then mapped these materials to the models. We had to make some adjustments to the images in adobe photoshop to equalise the lighting on the material images so that the textures would not repeat.
We also spent time lining up the texture maps so that we can pattern match at certain points in the scene, such as the upstands and on the inside of the sink inset.
