Planning
It's really important to have a clear understanding of where the animation is going. This means a strong storyboard / script is vital. We should have an idea of the messages and ideas that the animation will portray and the feelings the viewer will experience while watching.
Unforgettable Moments
We love to include a few moments that make the viewer go WOW. This could be an extra detailed section in a mechanical breakdown or a clean dynamic transition between shots. The animation should be memorable and have an aura of quality.

How we create a 3D Product Video
Brief / Storyboard
The first stage of our process is a brief, storyboarding and a script. If you already have ideas you can provide a creative brief, we will implement this into our plans and create a script, storyboard, soundtrack and mood board for animation depending on the requirements .
Lighting and Materials
Once the animation blocks are approved the next stage is to add realistic materials and lighting to the scenes. This is the most important step for quality as we create photorealistic lighting set ups that match the theme of the video. We will then share a low quality version of the video as well as high resolution stills.
Modelling / Animation Blocking
From a technical standpoint the next stage is to 3D model the files (if required) and set up the first animation blocks. These are blocked out sections that show the overall camera motion, sequence of events and product positioning.
Post-Production
The last stage is post production, here we will do any sound design, captions, 2d effects, video editing and color grading. The amount of post production work depends on the project but we generally want to have the content looking great out of the 3D software with post production being an embellishment rather than necessary for quality.

Fluid Simulation
Fluid simulation is a complex VFX / CGI technique that uses computer generated simulations of real fluid to emulate its behaviour. We can then give this simulation materials and manipulate the way it interacts with the virtual scene such as collision objects or wind / turbulence sources. This technique is particular effective in the beauty / healthcare industry but can also be used for electronic devices or other general products.
